Last March 17, I had the chance of a lifetime to meet a royal. Anne, the Princess Royal; daughter of Queen Elizabeth II, and younger sister of Prince Charles. She’s known to be one of the most hard-working and active royals today. Keeping a full calendar each year.
It was such a privilege to shake her hand and talk with her over a round table discussion which lasted for around 15 minutes. I got an invite which I thought was spam. Only to find out that it was legit.
Glad to see some familiar faces there too. Stephen Co of Nipa Foods, Reese Fernandez-Ruiz of Rags2Riches, and Paul Rivera of Kalibrr. I sat beside the David, of David’s Salon. We we’re all seated together in the “kids” table.
Princess Ann was well, very royal. I was surprised that she knew about crowdfunding. I was afraid that I would have a difficult time explaining what I do at The Spark Project. I was wrong. She was very sharp. She pretty much carried the whole conversation. Proving how she actually takes time to listen to each one in our table.
Another highlight was having to finally meet Miss Narda, a royal in her own right. Very humble and kind. I grew up with her ikats on our living and dining room walls.
The whole event started on time and ended on time. Before we knew it, The Princess Royal bid us farewell (not goodbye) and was off to her next engagement.
